McKeever Hotel Group unveils five-year ‘Beyond Now’ growth strategy with £3M reinvestment plan

McKeever Hotels Group has unveiled an ambitious five-year plan, ‘Beyond Now,’ aimed at driving growth through innovation, sustainability and personalised guest experiences. Managing Director Eddie McKeever announced the strategy during a recent stakeholder event, emphasising the Group’s vision to balance business success with family values, service excellence and community culture.

Building on strong performance over the past three years, McKeever Hotels has expanded its portfolio to seven properties, including The Lodge in Coleraine and the Armagh City Hotel, pushing turnover past £25 million. The Group plans further expansion into the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, supported by a £3 million capital investment to elevate its newest hotels to 4-star accreditation by 2027.

Central to the Group’s next phase is a data-driven Central Reservations System designed to optimise pricing, boost profitability and enhance guest loyalty through personalisation. The technology will serve as the backbone for improved customer insights and operational efficiency, aligning with the World Tourism Organisation’s 2030 vision for tech-enabled guest journeys.

A renewed focus on food and beverage will see the appointment of a Group F&B Executive to drive culinary innovation across all hotels, supported by a centralised purchasing platform for cost efficiency. Sustainability will also remain integral, with commitments to renewable energy, community employment and local supplier partnerships.

Looking ahead to its 40th anniversary in 2026, McKeever Hotels is targeting a £45 million turnover and a 600-strong workforce by 2030, cementing its position as a family-driven yet forward-thinking hospitality leader.
